Koreatown Hit And Run: Driver Tries To Flip Car Over
KOREATOWN (KTLA) — According to police, a white Mitsubishi traveling over the speed limit on the small residential street was trying to pass another car when it smashed into a silver sedan. The sedan then hit a pole.
Jacinto Chavez, 24, was a passenger in the Mitsubishi and died on scene. Three men in the silver car were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. One other in the Mitsubishi was hurt as well, though their condition is unknown.
Police at the scene said one of the drivers fled on foot. Witnesses said he tried to flip the car over before fleeing.
